The Senior Manager of Data Operations Process Excellence is responsible for defining efficiencies within the current Acquisition supply chain, spearhead the reengineering efforts to optimize and develop framework, based on the strategic recommendations by the VP of Data Operations and Senior Director of Data Operations.  This role will focus on the design, build and deployment of a common library of automation and AI/ML artifacts to transform the current processes and enable them to be agile and nimble across all acquisition channels.

This role will also need to support and enhance the process of data feeds issue research and remediation with the right set of tools. The role will require to establish a proactive incident management system for the current data feeds using a combination of technology and processes with a deployment of a dynamic and actionable self-service Command Center with early warning systems to alert stakeholders of potential data issues requiring review and action.

Creation of an effective team who can apply their understanding of both business process and technical capabilities to implement the optimal solutions for Costar Group.

Role Responsibilities:

• Responsible for process re-engineering from inception through deployment

• Identify and lead AI/ML opportunities within the data acquisition pipeline

• Spearhead data quality control enhancement integrations

• Lead the implementation and establishing the organizational structure of document repository

• Develop and implementation of reporting and analytics framework and processes for ongoing business needs delivering proactive insights to aid in decision making

• Monitoring KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and Success Criteria for each high priority project

• Partner with leaders across the lines of business to ensure the Data Operations team is a consistent thought partner in servicing the various data needs within the organization.

• Measure program success and ROI, and report out to key stakeholders and recommend improvements based on results.

• Works with the technical and business teams to assess and manage data risks

• Communicates risks and recommended mitigants in non-technical, cost/benefit terms in a format relevant to senior management

• Advance emerging platform features for machine learning; analytics; and assist in processes to evaluate tools and vendors with rationalization across data and analytics, and drive consistency

• Provide strategic and operational recommendations for improvement across departments

• Drive development and implementation of data quality standards and data operations standards

• Manage the data architecture, ensuring that appropriate guidelines are given to those responsible for designing data structures and repositories as well as data exchange protocols

• Implement solutions around data management, governance and the integration of structured and unstructured data to generate insights

• Leverage automation tools and techniques to manage data, optimize workflows and increase efficiencies

• Communicate with the engineers, operations, and customer support engineers who use our monitoring and automation tools to both explain the functionality and gather requirements for new projects.

• Continuously improve the resilience and reliability of data collection and alerting.

• Interact regularly with technology and business executives

• Mentor and manage Technical Managers in the normal execution of their responsibilities.

• Translate business requirements into technical requirements, develop project plan and work schedules

• Work with recruiting to identify, hire and onboard top industry talent

• Develop and maintain an in-depth working knowledge of the CRE Industry and CoStar’s position in the Commercial Real Estate market

• Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends and best practices that can be used to strengthen CoStar’s technology platform and development practices

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• 8+ years of multi-team development management experience with 2 or more direct manager reports

• Lead teams to design and implement business initiatives, workflow changes training, communications materials and launch plans for impacted stakeholders

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; Must be able to communicate at a level appropriate to the audience (direct reports, peers and executives)

• Excellent team-building, negotiation, and consensus-building abilities

• Ability to motivate and build high-performance teams

• Very high attention to detail and strong commitment to quality

• Effective communicator, able to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing; comfortable in business and technical discussions

• Ability to prioritize among competing opportunities, balance internal client needs with business priorities, and articulate the rationale behind decisions

• Strong analytical background working in data management inclusive of automation, AI and ML

• Understanding & implementation of automated test processes

• Ability to create product demo flows, messaging and pitches that communicate the justification for the project output impact
