Sr. Specialist, Instructional Design

The Sr. Instructional Design Specialist oversees the design, development and implementation of learning and talent development projects. The individual provides subject matter expertise while supporting the organization in the areas of instructional design, instructional technology, and design and development of organizational development priorities.

Design, develop, and implement learning initiatives, organizational development interventions, and informational presentations (including instructor-led training, eLearning courses, and leadership communications) to support learning initiatives.
Design content and programs with a focus on the integration of learning in the participants' work environment.
Serve as the subject matter expert determining appropriate learning delivery methods in the context of development needs, audience, and organizational culture.
Support leaders in talent management initiatives including talent assessment and reviews, areas of improvement, and insight into appropriate developmental solution
Identify leadership development needs and develop or customize available programs.
Manage multiple projects while working effectively with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and appropriate resources.
Collaborate to identify priority learning and development needs, and conduct assessments to identify training needs and requirements.
Perform quality assurance of courses, presentations, and learning and development communications.
Evaluate effectiveness of training programs.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design / Technology or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of instructional experience. Experience in utilizing technology to develop learning content and programs required. Experience developing a broad range of organizational development programs preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
